Virtual Currency Purchases & Refunds Policy
Applies to optional purchases of virtual coins on SweepsSphere.com. Effective date: 25 March 2026.
1) Overview
SweepsSphere.com may offer optional paid packages of virtual coins (“Coins”). Coins are digital items used only within your SweepsSphere account to access in-site features. Coins are not legal tender, have no cash value, and are not redeemable, exchangeable, or convertible into money, refunds, or prizes.
2) What you buy
- You are purchasing a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use Coins in your account.
- Coins can only be used on SweepsSphere.com as described at the point of purchase and may be subject to gameplay rules and limits.
- Coins cannot be sold, gifted, transferred, or traded outside the service.
3) Pricing, charges & payment authorisation
- Prices are shown in NZD unless stated otherwise at checkout. Any applicable taxes (including GST where required) will be displayed before you confirm payment.
- By clicking the purchase/confirm button, you authorise us (and our payment providers) to charge your selected payment method for the amount shown.
- You are responsible for ensuring your billing information is accurate and that you have permission to use the payment method.
4) Delivery
Coins are usually delivered instantly to your SweepsSphere account after successful payment confirmation. If delivery is delayed or incomplete, contact us with your account email/username, date/time, and any receipt or transaction reference.
5) Cancellations
Because Coins are delivered immediately and can be used right away, we generally cannot cancel a completed purchase once Coins have been credited to your account. If you believe you placed an order by mistake, contact us immediately; we will assess whether reversal is possible based on delivery status and account activity.
6) Refunds
- General rule: completed Coin purchases are non-refundable once delivered/credited, except where required by New Zealand law.
- We will consider refunds for billing errors (duplicate charges), non-delivery, or unauthorised transactions where supported by reasonable evidence.
- Statutory guarantees: nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable New Zealand consumer laws (including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply).
- If a refund is approved, we may deduct any Coins already used or reverse the credited Coins. Refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible.
7) Chargebacks & payment disputes
If you file a chargeback or payment dispute, we may temporarily restrict account access while we investigate. If a chargeback is found to be unauthorised or invalid, we may reapply the charge, reverse Coins, or take action under our Terms (including suspension) to address outstanding balances and misuse.
8) Changes to Coins or this policy
We may update Coin packages, pricing, and this policy from time to time. Changes apply from the “effective date” shown above and do not retroactively change confirmed purchases, except to the extent required by law or to correct errors.
