This Privacy Policy explains how SweepsSphere Limited ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you use SweepsSphere.com and related services (the "Service"). We comply with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).
Personal information we collect
- Account details: username, email, password (hashed), age/eligibility confirmations, support messages, and preferences.
- Gameplay and activity: game sessions, entries, results, rewards, virtual coin balances, fraud/abuse signals, and in-Service interactions.
- Device and analytics: IP address, device identifiers, approximate location (from IP), browser/app data, logs, and performance/usage analytics.
- Payments for virtual coins: purchase amount, currency, transaction IDs, timestamps, and limited payment metadata (for example, payment method type and last 4 digits where provided). We do not intentionally store full card numbers; payment processing is handled by payment providers.
- Cookies and similar technologies: identifiers used to remember settings, keep you signed in, and measure site performance.
How we use your information
- Provide and operate the Service (accounts, gameplay, virtual coins, customer support).
- Process purchases, refunds/chargebacks and maintain accounting records.
- Improve features, reliability and user experience (analytics and testing).
- Maintain security, prevent fraud, enforce rules, and protect users and the Service.
- Communicate with you about service updates, transactions and support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
How we share information
We may share personal information with:
- Service providers (hosting, analytics, customer support tools, security monitoring) acting on our instructions.
- Payment providers to process purchases of virtual coins and manage fraud/chargebacks.

Some providers may process data outside New Zealand. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable safeguards as required by the Privacy Act 2020.
Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and security, and analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies via your browser settings and may be able to limit some in-product analytics through device or browser privacy controls. Blocking cookies may affect functionality.
Data retention
- Account and gameplay data: retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to resolve disputes, enforce rules and meet legal obligations.
- Analytics/log data: generally retained up to 24 months (may be shorter or longer depending on security and operational needs).
- Transaction records: retained for at least 7 years to meet tax and accounting requirements.
Your rights (New Zealand)
You can request access to, or correction of, your personal information. You may also ask us to delete certain information where it is not required for legal or legitimate business purposes. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
To make a request, email contact@sweepssphere.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OPC) in New Zealand.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is not intended for children who are not permitted to use it under our rules. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to address it.
