2) Age-gating and verification steps

• Self-certification: we may ask for your date of birth and confirmation that you meet the minimum age.
• Checks for risk signals: we may use automated checks to detect inconsistent information (e.g., date of birth changes, unusual account activity, or reports from others).
• Re-verification: we may ask you to confirm your age again when you change account details, before awarding prizes, or when required by our partners or applicable rules.

3) Documentation checks (when used)

If we cannot reasonably confirm you are 18+, we may request evidence of age. This may include a copy/photo of a government-issued ID such as a New Zealand driver licence, passport, or Kiwi Access card, and in some cases proof of address.

We only use documents to verify eligibility, may allow redaction of non-essential information, and keep copies only as long as needed for verification, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute handling.

4) If underage use is detected

• We may restrict access, suspend the account, and stop participation immediately.
• Entries, rewards, or prize claims may be voided where permitted by the applicable promotion rules and law.
• We may request age evidence; failure to provide acceptable evidence can result in account closure.
• We may retain limited information to enforce this policy, prevent repeat registrations, and meet legal obligations.

5) Non-compliance and enforcement

Providing false age information, using someone else’s identity, or attempting to bypass verification may result in account restrictions, ineligibility for promotions, and termination of access in line with our terms and promotion rules.
